I am learning all the time. The tombstone will be my diploma. - Eartha Kitt

A good friend and brother in Christ posted a very good blog post about the topic of justice vs. celebrating in regards to the death of Osama Bin Laden.  It is very well articulated and I just wanted to share it.  He also references David's response to the death of Saul and I think he has very valid points and that maybe my reference to it may have been slightly misguided, so I wanted to share.  I also appreciate the quote that he includes from Abraham Lincoln and think it is a good perspective of how we should consider these events.

I also want to clarify that I do not think that it was wrong for the military to end Bin Laden's life.  I think he was a man who had not only chosen evil for himself, but brought evil upon countless others. And like the famous quote from Edmund Burke says, "All that's necessary for the forces of evil to win in the world is for enough good men to do nothing."

My issue is with the prideful way that Americans (who mostly do not act in Jesus-like ways themselves) feel that Americans are somehow superior to others in the world because we are considered a Christian nation and how this pompous attitude makes us appear to the rest of the world.

I strongly encourage you to view his post at Bare Naked Faith.
