My friend, Selena, at Campbell Clan, nominated me for this award. Like Selena, I had never heard of it before until now.
The Liebster award is passed around to help connect readers to blogs and hopefully increase readership.
Part 1: The first part of this award involves thanking your nominator, and then answering questions that he or she asks you.
Part 2: Then you nominate some other blog friends and ask them
some questions. And on and on. Sort of like a blog chain letter. Only
you (hopefully) get more readers instead of lots of letters in the mail.
1. What is your favorite thing to write about on your blog? My family and Compassion
2. What do you dream about the most? Getting everything done! Seriously, though, using my life and my testimony to be a blessing to others and traveling.
3. What is your favorite non-fiction book, besides the Bible? Why? The Hiding Place. It is a modern day story of God's provision and grace in the harshest of circumstances
4. What is your favorite fictional story? Why? The Christmas Carol. I have read it so many times and I still have the very first copy of it that I ever read when I was a child. It is a timeless tale and very well written.
5. What is your best organizing tip for paper clutter? Have an in box where all unsorted mail/papers go. But when mail comes in, immediately separate the necessary elements from the unnecessary (i.e. - throw outer envelopes, advertising inserts and junk mail immediately in trash or recycling) Have another holding area for things that need to be addressed. Keep filing cabinets near and accessible and file things immediately that do not need further attention.
6. What is your ultimate goal for your life? To be useful and cheerful doing whatever is put in front of me to do. I don't really have a "dream job" that I strive for or a end goal I hope to achieve. I hope my kids to be servants of God when they are adults and for Josh and I to grow old together, so I would say that is probably my ultimate goal, but neither are under my complete control.
7. What is your favorite kid-friendly, easy-to-fix meal that feeds a family? My kids favorite meals quick-fix meals are spaghetti and meatballs or fish sticks and fries.
8. Are you a structure and routine person, or do you usually feel like you wing it? Structured and routine. Since having kids, I have loosened up a bit in some areas, but I still would never say that I "wing" much!
9. What is your favorite thing to do to relax? Read or walk
10. Which is more important to you: who you are, or what you accomplish? I want it to be who I am, but I would say that I probably place too much importance in what I accomplish.
