Shaun Groves blog today has caused me to put down my phone and my iTouch and engage my kids more. It is so easy to fall into the "Techno Trap" or to feel like I can't miss a call, text or email. There have been times I have felt isolated when around someone else who is texting or using some other social media, but I never really considered how much I do it to my kids. Since I am around them so much, I tell myself that they don't mind that much. But I realize that I do it more than I would want them doing it, if they were teenagers and had phones or mobile devices. If I want them to interact with me, I need to be "all in" to interact with them.
